Who are we?
More than 70 Years of experience
We are Tim Messner and Dominik Kloppe two firefighters with over 40 years of joint experience in firefighting and rescue and more than 30 years in the funeral industry. Our work and passion are for people who help every day in exceptional situations and often push their limits themselves. With our seminars and the guide "Ein Einsatz mit Todesfolge" we break taboos, share knowledge and help emergency services to better understand and cope with psychological stress.
Mental strength promote where it is most needed
We not only pass on experiences we convey concrete strategies and tools for the professional and humane handling of loss, grief and stressful assignments. In our seminars, we talk openly about difficult topics such as the processing of traumatic events and create space for exchange, reflection and mutual support. Our goal: to promote mental strength where it is most needed.
The references of our participants
Tim and Dominik, I would like to sincerely thank both of you once again for the very emotional and professionally valuable seminar you gave for us on Friday, January 30, 2026. I have rarely experienced my team being so quiet, attentive, and interested during a training evening. Great respect for how the two of you managed to inspire the entire team — including myself — with such serious and important topics. The feedback from all participants was very positive, and they all said it was excellent. I believe Broject for Life is extremely valuable and can highly recommend it to all organizations, whether fire departments (volunteer or professional), emergency medical services, THW, police, or the healthcare sector.

Fire Chef - Fire Department Fischerbach
With their heartfelt project “Broject for Life,” focusing on mental strength for firefighters and emergency responders, the two of them support emergency and rescue personnel with knowledge from practice, for practice. In particular, their explanation of how to deal with death and challenging situations at the scene of an emergency really impressed me. Both firefighters are also regularly confronted with death through their many years of professional work as funeral directors and shared their own experiences from difficult situations within the fire service. I can fully recommend their work to all colleagues and organizations. The 3.5 hours were time very well spent.

Hello Tim, hello Dominik, I wanted to give you some feedback on your presentation last week with our department. I thought your talk was very good, and I believe most people were able to take something away from it, including on a personal level. I personally recognized myself in several situations, and I found your openness, especially when sharing personal stories, very impressive. Fire departments that do not yet live this topic the way we do will be able to gain tremendous value from your seminar. Please keep going and continue to carry this message forward. In closing, simply a big thank you.

Hello you two, very interesting presentation yesterday. Respect – and thank you. It’s amazing how much there is to talk about and share on this topic. I could tell you stories as well. Fortunately, I am very well supported and can talk to professionals at any time. I can fully confirm your approach and your statements. And your sense of humor – simply great! 👏

I wanted to thank you both from the bottom of my heart. This conversation, the advice, and the videos helped me a great deal. Over time, I have realized a lot, reflected, and learned as well. I now see this period simply as a “lesson” for myself.

What the media says about us
Frequently asked questions
Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about our seminars and offers.
Why is our seminar so important?
Missions resulting in death leave traces - not only with the relatives, but also with the helpers. Firefighters and rescue workers see things that accompany them for a lifetime, but far too often what they have experienced remains unspoken. The burden is displaced while everyday life continues. Psychological strength has nothing to do with silence, but with awareness and processing. Our presentation breaks this silence. We create a space where it is allowed to talk about burdens and find ways to deal with them. With decades of experience, we show how to cope with death and your own feelings. It's about breaking taboos, encouraging and giving helpers the support they deserve. Because only those who are strong themselves can help others.
Who is the seminar aimed at?
Our seminar is aimed at all emergency services - whether fire brigade, rescue service, police or Bundeswehr. It does not matter whether someone is active at the management level or at the team level: Everyone is affected, everyone is important. We offer the seminar either as a pure executive seminar or as a format for the entire team - individually adapted to the needs on site. In addition, we also offer specially adapted seminars for nurses - both in nursing schools and directly for outpatient and inpatient care services. Because here, too, employees regularly encounter emotional limits, which we respond to in a targeted manner.
How long does a seminar last on average?
Our seminars last on average about three hours. It is particularly valuable if the seminar takes place on a Friday or Saturday evening, because afterwards intensive conversations, exchange and joint processing often arise. This informal part is an important part – so it can take a little longer.
Where do the seminars take place?
Our seminars are designed as in-house training and take place directly at the respective fire brigade or an association of fire brigades on site. Unfortunately, individuals cannot participate at the moment - the booking is made via the organization of the fire brigade.
What are the costs for the seminar?
The costs depend on the route and effort. In order to relieve the budget coffers of the fire brigades, we offer a sponsorship system: Local companies can financially support the seminar and will be visibly placed in the seminar as well as in our social media posts. The sponsorship can be claimed by the company as advertising costs for tax purposes - a gain for all parties involved.
What is the maximum number of participants?
There is no fixed upper limit. Our recommendation is approx. 50 people, so that a personal exchange remains possible. In principle, however, larger groups are also welcome - with the note that with a large number of participants, direct contact with each individual naturally becomes somewhat more difficult.
Is special equipment required?
No, we usually bring everything we need for the seminar. On site, we only need a projector, a screen and a suitable room with appropriate seating. Everything else we provide.
